Miss World France 2026 Indira Ampiot joined generations of Miss France titleholders in a memorable reunion marking four decades of the national pageant on television. Organised for Paris Match, the commemorative photoshoot brought together 35 winners, dressed in white and wearing their Miss France sashes, with longtime host Jean-Pierre Foucault. Captured by photographer Benjamin Decoin at Studios 44 in Malakoff, near Paris, the portrait honoured the women who have shaped the pageant’s legacy from Miss France 1987 Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut to Miss France 2026 Hinaupoko Devèze. Indira’s own remarkable journey began when she was crowned Miss France 2023 on December 17, 2022, representing Guadeloupe. She held the national title until December 2023, when she passed the crown to Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024. In May 2026, she was appointed Miss World France 2026, earning the opportunity to represent France at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival in Vietnam. Reflecting on the reunion, Indira wrote, “What an honor to share this moment alongside these incredible women, who are all part of this beautiful history and this wonderful family.” The celebration also reunited several women who have represented France at Miss World. Chloé Mortaud, Miss France 2009, reached the international competition’s Top 7, while Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018, advanced to the Top 12 and won that year’s Top Model competition. Other attendees with Miss World experience included Cindy Fabre, Rachel Legrain-Trapani, Delphine Wespiser, Flora Coquerel and Clémence Botino. Marine Lorphelin, Miss France 2013, remains another standout in France’s international pageant history: she finished as first runner-up at Miss World 2013 and earned the Miss World Europe title. At Miss World 2026, Indira further distinguished herself, reaching the Top 12, placing second in Europe and winning both the Overall and European Top Model titles. Originally from Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, she continues to build her career as a model and communications entrepreneur while pursuing her ambition to establish care centres providing beauty and wellness support to women affected by cancer. Her place in the anniversary portrait brought her journey full circle, linking her experience as a former Miss France with her role today representing the country on the international stage.
